Welcome to the official website for the Church of Ireland General Synod 2022 which will be held in Assembly Buildings, Belfast, from Wednesday, 4th May, to Friday, 6th May 2022.
We hope you will take the time to visit each section of our website to find out more about the ongoing work and mission of the Church of Ireland as reflected in the General Synod meeting.
You can view reports, news items and photographs to give you a flavour of the life of the annual meetings of Synod.

General Synod Service – Wednesday, 4th May, 10.30am, St Anne’s Cathedral
Buses departing Assembly Buildings at 9.45am and returning after service. No Cathedral parking – please use St Anne’s Square car park if required.
The Dean of Belfast requests that face coverings are worn on arrival and when moving around the Cathedral. Face coverings can be removed when sitting or standing. Singing is encouraged.
Communion will be offered from four distribution points in both kinds with an option of receiving from the Common Cup or from individual cups.
Parking Arrangement
A £6 all–day rate has been arranged for Synod members in the Europa/Great Northern car park on presentation of a General Synod badge at the staffed pay booth.
Entrance off Hope Street and behind bus/rail station car park.
