The General Synod of the Church of Ireland meets in Armagh at the Conference Centre in the Armagh City Hotel from 9 May to 11 May. The General Synod is the main decision making body of the Church of Ireland, meeting once a year to discuss and decide on work within the Church. A service of Holy Communion for General Synod will be held in St Patrick’s Cathedral, Armagh on the evening of Tuesday, 9 May Regular reports on debates from the Synod along with photos and information on fringe events and other activities during Synod are available on this website. You will also be able to read the draft reports that are presented to General Synod and view the timetable for business for each day. Delegates attending General Synod 2006 will also be able to avail of many resources on this website including details of accommodation, leisure activities and travel information.
